About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in the parametric test. Program automated test equipment to determine if the wafer fabrication process is in compliance. Recommends and helps to implement equipment and test program modifications to improve production efficiencies, testing integrity and production yields for existing products. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as design of experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC) targeting area and possibly root cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Interacts with product and process engineering personnel to ensure that parametric test specs and results are accurate. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review testing specifications and compare them to the hardware capability. Review device specifications and look for testability. Code the test program to those specifications, using various computer programming languages (mostly C). Checkout and debug the program and hardware. Checkout and debug the devices with the test-wares. Use device knowledge to understand the interaction between the test-ware and device to aid in the debug and test improvement tasks. Support early process development and adjust as the process moves to production. Support production, including training, documenting, adding enhancements for productivity and accuracy, troubleshooting yield issues, use statistical software tools to trace failures to a Fab processing area and communicate findings. Write code for better troubleshooting and verification of the testers being used. Help the maintenance organization be more effective.
