Sales, travel, and happy pets too. We are looking for a Territory Sales Representative in Southern California to join our high performing sales team. Working in Southern California, you will represent Champion Petfoods, maker of premium ORIJEN® and ACANA® foods, to retail and distribution partners. It goes without saying, this is a high visibility role. As a Territory Sales Representative, you will build partnerships with retailers and distributors by understanding and supporting their businesses and inspiring them with our Vison of becoming The Global Leader in Advancing Premium Foods for Pets, and our purpose to Earn Pet Lover Trust Every Day so Pets Thrive for a Lifetime, as well as to uphold Champion’s incredible reputation. You don't have to have pets to succeed here, but we’re pretty sure you’ll want one! You’ll have the opportunity to: Establish and maintain productive relationships, partnering with distributor and retail accounts while advocating our vision, purpose, and values. Work within an experienced team that collaborates, communicates best practices, and works together to achieve shared goals. Perform and manage territory coverage while prioritizing frequency that aligns with account opportunity Manage and control all budgets assigned for the retail customers. Promote a fast-moving brand’s awareness, increase sales, and boost customer engagement. Deliver inspired education and training to distributor sales team, retail partners, and consumers. Conduct a review in the store in terms of product pricing and distribution. Drive in-store presence through display, expanding Orijen and ACANA space, and premier placement of POP/ signage Implement Champion’s merchandising and branding standards. Work industry shows and weekend events that engage and educate consumers on the ORIJEN® and ACANA® brands. Ride-a-long with Distributor Sales Representatives. Communicate field activity to the Regional Manager through daily and weekly reporting, working together on scheduling, prioritizing, and territory planning. Develop market knowledge with awareness of competitor’s offerings from both the consumer and retailer point of view. Perform all administrative functions associated with direct account and retail store management within established deadlines. The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).
