About The Position

Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction, cranes, and public works equipment has an immediate need for a Territory Sales Representative at our Pittston location for Construction Equipment Sales and Rentals. SEI’s Construction Equipment lineup includes excavating, material handling, road maintenance, paving, milling, compaction, tree care, wood processing, trailers, and governmental equipment. Requirements Duties include, but are not limited to: Sales & Rentals of Construction Equipment within a defined sales territory of 6 Counties Sales representatives are expected to meet sales goals and targets for gross profit; rentals unit sales; and market share for our segments Attend training as well as self-starting opportunities to gain technical knowledge of our product line Refine the territory’s customer management plan to achieve goals and targets and to allocate time properly for maximum results Demonstrate equipment to qualify buyers to close sales or rental opportunities Qualify, quote, and close sales and rental opportunities utilizing pricing, quoting, inventory, and finance tools Meet daily, weekly, and monthly activity and customer coverage expectations both in-person and through phone, text, and email communication Maintain a customer list of up to 300 customers prioritizing accounts as the market opportunity dictates Represent SEI at local and national trade shows and industry events Total Compensation Includes: Competitive salary Full Benefits Package 401k with Matching Paid Time Off Company vehicle Technology such as phone and laptop ESOP eligibility after 1 years tenure Requirements The best fit to our team will have: Higher education in technical field or extensive work experience in technical field; One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years of outside sales experience. Machine technical Knowledge is a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Work environment is varied from office environment to field environment. Much of the time will be spent on the road, in a car, traveling to and from client locations. Traveling will involve extended periods of sitting. Field environment will include hands on operation of equipment. Requirements
