About The Position

This position will be responsible for managing & servicing the Hunter Fan Company assortment within Menards stores and supporting other accounts.  Supporting activities & initiatives to increase sales, help with Team Member product knowledge and leave consumers with positive experience with Hunter Fan Company.

Requirements

  • BA in marketing, business administration or related field preferred.  3 years sales and/or service in similar channel.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Problem solving skills as this job will have a variety of issues that confront it.
  • Willingness to be flexible to needs of the company and accounts.
  • Strong administrative skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel up to 65% of the time.
  • Ability to work within a set expense budget.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electricity.
  • Ability to climb ladders to hang fans.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. overhead.
  • Ability to drive or fly to corporate office and account locations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain integrity/look of the Hunter Fan Company program within Menards stores (Planogram & POP integrity, displays lamped and clean, stock available on shelf, etc).
  • Build and hang ceiling fans at stores as needed.
  • Report back issues seen/discovered at store level.
  • Establish professional working relationship with store Department Managers and Team Members.
  • Become an expert in the category and be able to address all product and brand specific questions and concerns from Menards Team Members and guests.
  • Perform in-store demos.
  • Attend new store set ups and openings to ensure the Hunter Fan Company product is correctly hung, working and with correct POP.
  • Annual PLR set ups, build product & execute on concept.
  • Participating in Contractor Lunches when called upon.
  • Comp price shops to report back any movement in retail (for all products – Hunter & Patriot) & occasional comp shops at other Big Box accounts.
  • Collaborate with peers to share best practices and drive Menards and company related initiatives.
  • Able to think outside of the box and adapt as Menards & their requests change.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and continuously raise the bar.
  • Attend and work Industry shows and events for other Hunter Fan accounts.
  • Ensure adherence to all company principles and policies.
