This is an individual contributor position, managing a book of small commercial business with independent agencies. Territory: The selected hire will support a selected group of national firms, with locations spread throughout much of the country though a higher concentration in the western half. Location: This is a Remote/Work-From-Home (WFH) position; can be based anywhere within the Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time Zones and must be able to accommodate working hours aligned to the Pacific Time Zone. Strong preference to be based within the western region. Qualified candidates must have P&C Commercial insurance expertise, sales/agency relationship management experience, and a strong familiarity with the Independent Agency Distribution Channel. Strong preference for Small Commercial specific experience and a solid knowledge of the market and the competitive landscape. Prior underwriting experience is especially ideal, though not required. This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. As a Manager, you'll lead a territory of Nationwide commercially-focused distribution points from a field location through virtual interactions. A territory typically consists of agencies that are most effectively and efficiently managed remotely. We'll count on you for achieving small commercial profit and growth goals through the management and development of agencies in assigned territory. You'll partner with PLTMs, SCTMs, MMTMs, Sales and Underwriting teams to find opportunities and develop growth and profit strategies.
