About The Position

The Westin Tempe is looking for a FT - Terra Tempe Outlet Manager to join our amazing Team! Hours/Shifts - AM/PM availability - including weekends and holidays A Terra Tempe Outlet Manager takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Hotel and you'll be part of a great team of helpful people who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction. A Terra Tempe Outlet Manager manages, directs and organizes the Outlet operations to maintain high standards of Food & Beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of Outlet operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction.
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Can communicate well with guests.
  • Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and service, wines and preparation techniques.
  • Excellent mathematical abilities in order to determine and track inventory, controls, revenue productions, and other hotel financial statements.
  • Ability to work entire shift standing and moving about in Outlets and kitchen area.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to lift/carry weight up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push/and pull carts of products weighing up to 150 pounds.
  • At least five years’ experience in related field preferred.
  • Experience with supervision of employees required.

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel Outlet management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of the annual budget for the Outlet; develop short and long term financial operating plans.
  • Attend mandatory meetings including divisional meetings, departmental meetings, staff meetings, etc.
  • Participate in community public relations for the Outlet and the hotel.
  • Utilize traditional software programs.
  • In emergencies, perform in the capacity of any position supervised.
