About The Position

HF Sinclair Midstream located in Spokane, WA is seeking a Terminal Supervisor. This position oversees all product movement in and out of the facility. Operations include truck and rail loading/offloading, tank transfers, pipeline receipts. Job Duties Pivotal role coordinating with the pipeline scheduling and marketing departments Responsible for the computer software training Determines work procedures, sets priorities, prepares work schedules and expedites Terminal workflow Prioritizes procurement of materials and equipment Assesses current processes, including evaluating appropriate software, and provides recommendations for automation and efficiencies Establishes, maintains and documents procedures for department to organize workflow; organizes and conducts weekly meetings Analyzes and develops solutions for problems arising within the department Prepares weekly payroll input, verifying employee calculations, and maintains and verifies attendance and leave allocation for account receivable employees Acts as liaison between Terminal and other related departments as needed Acts as a liaison with local, state, and federal regulatory authorities Coordinate training with responding municipal emergency services Verifies Terminal documents for accuracy of calculations, information and approvals Handles escalated telephone calls and checks and responds to department electronic mail Develops reports, isolates potential operational issues, and provides recommendations and ad hoc reports to appropriate management Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Requirements

  • A minimum of seven years of related experience with at least two years in a lead role is required.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience at the management level is required (management’s discretion).
  • Special training and/or certifications in computer accounting software and hazardous materials is essential.
  • A significant amount of energy industry and supervisory experience is required.
  • Basic reading and writing skills with the ability to perform basic level mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision of seven employees.
  • Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand & finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 25lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 25 lbs, climbing up to 60 ft, strenuous physical activity, perceiving color differences, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates, valid State driver’s license and proof of insurance required, and ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted).
