About The Position

CTA is currently seeking a Terminal Opener to fill their seasonal, summer position at the Pier 66 Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal. Please check eligibility before applying by using the following link: https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic SUMMARY The Terminal Opener is responsible for both terminal and peripheral operations at the Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal (BSPCT), Pier. Cruise specific duties include pier delivery and traffic flow coordination, coordinating with ship's agent for passenger deliveries, and overseeing stevedore maintenance and accidental claims. Other duties may include traffic controlling in front of terminal and other needs as they arise. The primary responsibility of this position is to open/prepare the terminal for cruise operations. The Terminal Opener will report to the Duty Manager as well as the Security Manager and Supervisor, and assist both as directed.
Requirements
- Fast pace operational experience preferred
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with computer and MS Office required
- Commitment for entire cruise season required (April - October, some training in March)
- Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of other security and operations equipment helpful but not required
Responsibilities
