About The Position

Terminal Operator –Shift Leadman (ATH Dryer) The primary duties shall be to safely operate and maintain all related bulk product handling equipment, including but not limited to an industrial rotary dryer, front-end loader, control room, and testing equipment. Responsibilities include receiving, drying, storing, sampling, lab testing, and loading railcars and trucks with dry bulk material. Employee will have multiple tasks including but not limited to the following: Control Room operation of an industrial rotary dryer to remove moisture from product. Routine checking and cleaning of dryer filter screen during product processing. Loading railcars and trucks including preload setup, inspection, PLC monitoring, and sealing. Operate track mobile and car progressing equipment for moving railcars into load position. Entering loading data into Terminal Management Software and customer systems. Communication as needed with railroad for spotting cars on track. Continuous monitoring of product for proper moisture content. Routine sampling and lab testing of product for customer quality control. Operation of front-end loader and skid steer to fill dryer hopper and for cleaning. Upkeep of area cleanliness, maintenance, and assistance with major repairs as needed. Following all operational and safety protocols in a cooperative and professional manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to qualify for a US Department of Homeland Security Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC card).
  • Pre-employment drug screening, physical, and background check.
  • Physically fit (able to climb steps and ladders frequently).
  • Ability to work at heights above 80 feet.
  • Computer literate – MS Outlook or similar, MS Excel, MS Word
  • Flexible schedule is needed in periods of high customer demand.
  • Looking for a mechanically inclined, highly motivated, and “willing to learn” individual.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g. Front-End Loaders) is a plus.
  • Experience operating rotary dryers, industrial kilns, or boilers is a plus.
