About The Position

The Department of Finance and Real Estate in the College of Business, the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position with a focus on banking, beginning Fall 2025. Applicants for the Full Professor position may be considered for an endowed chair.

Requirements

• Applicants must have earned a doctorate in finance or a related field from an accredited (or equivalent) college or school by the date of appointment

Nice To Haves

• Candidates with strong research records and teaching experience in the relevant areas
• Experience in developing or administering banking-focused courses, certificates, or degree programs would be helpful
• Experience in industry outreach and/or network connections to relevant financial institutions will be considered favorably

Responsibilities

• Conducting high quality academic research
• Conducting banking industry outreach
• Managing a certificate/program in banking
• Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in banking, as well as finance or real estate
• Supporting the department’s banking and other initiatives
