About The Position

RIT's Department of Computer Engineering invites applications from highly motivated individuals looking to join a diverse, vibrant community of teacher-scholars as a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. Successful candidates are expected to build a strong externally-funded research program, advise Ph.D. and master's students, develop and teach undergraduate and graduate classes, advise undergraduate researchers and design teams, and work collaboratively to advance the goals of the department. We are currently seeking candidates with research expertise in one or more of the following areas: Edge AI, Heterogeneous Computing, Networking and IoT, Quantum Computing. We are seeking an individual who has the ability and interest in contributing to a community committed to student-centeredness; professional development and scholarship; integrity and ethics; innovation and flexibility; and teamwork and collaboration. Requirements

Doctorate in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related field
Ability and commitment to effectively teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Record of disseminating scholarly research in refereed (peer-reviewed) publications
Demonstrated evidence of experience or potential to establish an independent externally-sponsored research program
Expertise in the areas of Edge AI, Heterogeneous Computing, Networking and IoT, and/or Quantum Computing
Excellent communication skills
Interest in working in a collaborative, collegial environment
