RIT's Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the broad areas of solid mechanics and materials science. We seek highly motivated individuals who are committed to excellence in both research and teaching and are eager to contribute to a vibrant academic community. Candidates with research interests across all application domains relevant to mechanical engineering areas of solid mechanics and materials science are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates whose work aligns with one or more of the following areas: advanced manufacturing, energy and environment, and micro-nano-scale systems, devices, and materials. Successful candidates are expected to build and sustain a strong externally funded research program, advise Ph.D. and master's students, develop and teach undergraduate and graduate classes, advise undergraduate researchers and design teams, and work collaboratively to advance the department's goals.
