The Mechanical Engineering Department in the School of Engineering at the University of St. Thomas is seeking applications for a tenure track faculty postion at the assistant or associate level. This is an exciting time for growth in the Mechanical Engineering program at St Thomas, as we have recently moved into the new $110M Schoenecker Center with state-of-the-art engineering labs, including a prototyping center, robotics and automation lab, and an advanced materials lab, as well as an expansion of our Manufacturing & Machining Center. As a student-focused institution with a strong hands-on curriculum, we emphasize undergraduate and graduate education that provides technical excellence with a significant emphasis on real world applications. Successful candidates will be expected to develop and deliver an engaging set of courses in their area of expertise, as well as establish and maintain an active research program. The search will give special consideration in the areas of dynamics, robotics and automation. Applications from candidates with specialization in all areas of mechanical engineering are welcome.
