The Department of Human Studies in the School of Education and Human Sciences ( SEHS ) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Educational Psychology and Research (9-month appointment). This individual will contribute to research, teaching, and service with a primary focus on statistics and research methods. Teaching will primarily focus on statistics and research methods, but may also include courses in educational psychology, human development, or the development of other courses as required to serve the psychology and research needs of graduate programs in the SEHS such as measurement and program evaluation. We seek a scholar with the ability to develop or advance a nationally recognized research program that contributes the interdisciplinary research environment in the department, college, and university. This position will also allow the opportunity to serve on dissertation committees within the SEHS and across campus as well as serve on committees at the department, school, and university levels. The position allows for flexibility in the candidate’s area of research productivity. There are opportunities for collaboration in a wide range of disciplines including health and medicine on the UAB campus.
