About The Position

The Corporation of Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Communication Studies. This position involves teaching undergraduate students in communication studies, conducting research and scholarship in the field, and participating in service activities within the Communication Studies Department and the College. Primary teaching responsibilities include courses such as Introduction to Communication, Argumentation, Public Communication, Intercultural Communication, Leadership, and Research Methods. The teaching load is 3–3, with expectations for ongoing research in the candidate’s area of expertise and active service contributions. The College is particularly interested in candidates with specialties in leadership and advocacy.

Requirements

  • Applicants must hold a master’s degree in Communication Studies or a related field and have completed all Ph.D. requirements except the dissertation (ABD).
  • Candidates who expect to complete their doctoral degree within one year of appointment will also be considered.
