About The Position

Wintergreen Resort Tennis is looking for highly motivated Tennis Intern for the 2020 summer season (Mid June through Labor Day). Our facilities at both Devils Knob and Stoney Creek total 19 clay courts and 3 indoor deco-turf courts. Nestled at the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains and 40 miles from Charlottesville, Wintergreen also features 45 holes of world-class golf, including 27 holes at Stoney Creek, designed by internationally-renowned golf course architect Rees Jones; five restaurants on-site; a newly expanded spa and fitness center; conference facilities; award-winning nature programs; 30 miles of maintained hiking trails; and nationally-recognized activities programs. The Wintergreen community consists of over 3500 homes and condominiums, and many residents are Members of the resort.

Responsibilities

• assist in the pro shop operations
• ordering and receiving of merchandise
• helping Pro Shop Manager and Director of Tennis achieve a favorable cost of sales percentage
• assist with daily maintenance (Har-Tru, hard court)
• teach clinics and private lessons to all ages and ability levels
• instruct junior players in Nike Tennis Camps
• assist with club events
• racquet stringing
