Requirements

  • Entry level tennis experience required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
  • Current HS AED CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year experience working with children and youth preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the instruction of group lessons for various age groups and players of beginner/intermediate skill level by utilizing professional teaching methods under the direction of assigned leadership.
  • Performs front desk duties, responds to tennis related injuries, ball and equipment upkeep, and basic court maintenance (nets, scorecards, ball machine, benches, etc.) per department procedures.
  • Works closely with assigned leadership in promoting, programming, organizing, and operating tennis events (tournaments, socials, leagues, etc.).
  • Proactively greets members and guests in a friendly, professional and enthusiastic manner.
  • Efficiently and accurately performs all closing and opening procedures per department protocol.
  • Maintains the Tennis area and Tennis Center in a clean and organized manner per department protocol.
  • Understands and stays up to date and proficient in issues related to safety and emergency procedures.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
