About The Position

This position is responsible for leading our Youth Tennis Lesson program. The Lead Tennis Instructor will develop, plan, and lead lessons along with Tennis Instructors.

Requirements

• 5 Years' experience instructing tennis.
• High School Diploma/ GED.
• Must pass required State and Federal Background Checks
• Ability to communicate policies, rules, and regulations to all that use the facility
• Ability to provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation.
• Ability to communicate clearly with youth participating in Tennis.
• Knowledge of various tennis techniques and rules and the ability to instruct youth.
• Good leadership, communication, and social skills.
• Communicate effectively with participants and parents.
• Give clear and concise instructions.
• Ability to demonstrate physical fitness to include frequent light to occasional heavy lifting (up to 15 lbs.) standing, and walking for long periods of time, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Ability to talk, hear, and see.

Responsibilities

• Give daily instruction to youth ages 6-18 years old.
• Effectively utilize drills as well as games to make experience both informative and fun.
• Identify where participants are lacking and how they can improve their level of play.
• Delegate instructional tasks to tennis instructors.
• Ensure participants are always in a safe environment.
• Communicate with parents, participants, instructors, and Youth Program Manager.
• Communicate weather related cancelations and supplies needs with Youth Program Manager.
