About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Program and Aquatics Coordinator, instructs tennis classes for youth and adults. See Full Job Description CLOSING DATE: Open until filled. STARTING SALARY: $14.50 - $18.00/Hour STATUS: Seasonal (non-benefitted, 6 months or less, part-time) DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a minimum of one year experience in tennis instruction or playing tennis. Must be 15 years of age to apply. Knowledge of tennis, team building, and ability to be self-motivating; proper English usage, spelling, and vocabulary. Great responsibility for the care, condition and use of facilities, materials, equipment, tools, etc.; great responsibility for making decisions affecting the activities of participants. Good communication skills; contacts requiring tact and judgment to avoid friction and to handle complaints; frequent contacts involving the carrying out of the program; ability to communicate effectively with all age groups. Use of tennis equipment, and occasional use of a telephone. Ability to follow written and verbal instruction. Note: Applications may only be submitted online.
