About The Position

The Staenberg-Loup JCC is looking for qualified Tennis Desk Associates who can help create a fun and safe environment. We are looking for candidates who are knowledgeable and responsible to join our team and the greater JCC community. At the JCC, we have a culture and environment of everyone welcome. The Tennis Desk Associate is friendly and serves as the central hub for the JCC and its tennis center. They contribute to member satisfaction by helping to support members and guests, and respond to inquiries, complaints, and suggestions. This person has the responsibility of being responsive to members and acting as a resource for members needs of goods and services while in the JCC facility. Overall, the Tennis Desk Associate acts as the JCCs first line of communication with members and creates a friendly and welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years old by Memorial Day under the department of labor guidelines
  • Minimum one year of experience in customer service
  • Ability to stand for several hours for the duration of shift
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests and new members in tours, membership onboarding, etc.
  • Execute opening/closing procedures
  • Greet members & guests enthusiastically
  • Answer Telephone calls
  • Assist members with purchases of retail goods and services
  • Promote memberships
  • Operate a computer
  • Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered
  • Ability to reason, problem-solve, and perform tasks under pressure
  • Assist in keeping a clean and fully stocked workplace
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary by supervisors
