The Tenant Resource Counselor is an on-site position in Supportive Housing sites. These sites are ones where BSHC has contracted with housing authorities or housing management organizations to provide resident services to all residents to help them age in place and make lifestyle changes that improve the quality of their lives. The TRC will support the ability of all tenants to continue to live safely and appropriately where they are, facilitate linkages and referrals to all levels of community-based services, and monitor delivery of services. The TRC assists residents with appointments, community referrals, coordinating services with external agencies, arranging transportation and translation services and is responsible for arranging and coordinating all supportive housing program activities. The TRC works closely with a building's Property Manager and/or Resident Services Coordinator to identify residents who might be in need of Home Care or other services, and provides assistance with tenancy issues, as appropriate, to help avoid eviction. The incumbent is responsible for both identifying issues that arise in a building and effectively working with all partners. The TRC will work with all residents, regardless of age, and coordinate activities and services for those whose ability to continue to live independently have been compromised by frailties and impairments. The TRC will be solely based in select buildings that Boston Senior Home Care has partnered with. The Tenant Resource Councilor's tasks are consistent with the above job description. The site(s) are assigned by the Program Manager/Director.
