About The Position

The Tenancy Supports Specialist plays a vital role in implementing the Kentucky 1915(i) RISE Initiative, which expands Medicaid services for individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and/or a co-occurring Substance Use Disorder (SUD). This position focuses on helping participants secure and maintain stable housing, promoting independence, recovery, and community integration

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in housing support, case management, or behavioral health preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in identifying, securing, and maintaining safe and affordable housing.
• Provide tenancy support services including lease negotiation, landlord mediation, and eviction prevention.
• Educate participants on tenant rights and responsibilities.
• Coordinate with housing authorities, landlords, and community partners to facilitate housing access.
• Support participants in developing skills for independent living (e.g., budgeting, hygiene, home maintenance).
• Conduct regular home visits to assess housing stability and provide ongoing support.
