About The Position
The Institute for Mind and Biology at the University of Chicago enables research answering fundamental questions about the mind and its dynamic interaction with the biological systems of the body. The Experience, Memory and Knowledge Lab aim to understand the neurophysiological mechanisms that enable the formation of knowledge from individual experiences. Lab website: https://voicesuchicagoedu/jaiyu The Temporary Technician position will provide technical support activities related to scientific research projects in the lab. This full time position is ideal for those wishing to gain experience in a research laboratory before applying for graduate school in neuroscience.
Requirements
- BA or BS in a biology discipline required.
- Six months working in a biology research laboratory preferred.
Responsibilities
- General animal handling and care, breeding and genotyping.
- Assist in experiments, prepare experimental equipment.
- Provide technical support to lab members.
- Perform experiments and procedures to support data collection.
