About The Position

DTSI is seeking a Temporary System Administrator to provide Cyber System sustainment and integration services to military organizations across the country. This team of cyber operators will perform full spectrum lifecycle support for existing and emerging technology systems focused on guaranteeing the U.S. military's freedom of action in the contested cyber domain. Assignment will include exposure to a full gambit of technology identification, development, integration and test, and product lifecycle support.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience working as a system administrator within classified environments
  • Combination of experience with Windows Server (2012, 2012 R2, or 2016) OR with Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, other)
  • Combination of experience with any personal cloud and virtualized desktop infrastructures: VMware Workstation 11 (or newer), Citrix XenDesktop 3 (or newer), and Oracle VM VirtualBox 4 (or newer)
  • Familiarity with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide
  • Experience with threat management and intrusion detection and prevention systems such as Trend Micro Deep Security, Snort, Sourcefire, McAfee Anti-Virus, or CloudShield
  • Current Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification: Security+

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SolarWinds
  • Experience or familiarity with AWS, Azure, and application migration
  • Database experience in either MySQL or SQL Plus
  • Ability to work physically with fiber: cutting, splicing, connecting, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing IT systems and environments IAW disciplined engineering practices and sustain applications, databases and interfaces in compliance with applicable Air Force and/or Department of Defense standards.
  • Investigate, analyze, isolate, characterize, diagnose, resolve, and document complex application software, network, hardware, and operator-induced anomalies and system deficiencies.
  • Work in teams consisting of government, military, and other contractor personnel to support, administer, troubleshoot, modify and upgrade computer systems, devices, and software; including but not limited to: firmware configuration, storage, networking, virtual infrastructure management, load balancing, system optimization, development and application of system unique patches and commercial patches, software installation, software updating, backup, restore, and data transfer.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation for scripts, programs, process flow, and system configurations while participating in meeting and phone calls.
  • Provide presentations and recommendations and report on system status, updates, schedules, and technical tasks assigned. This will include security non-compliance fixes, analysis and determination of normal system behaviors.
  • Provide on-call assistance to users for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
  • Draft scripts, administration, tools, and on-site software to maintain the system.
