This temporary position involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining a healthy and safe aquatic environment and facility for the College community. Key duties include performing lifeguard responsibilities, monitoring water chemistry, staffing the sign-desk, and overseeing locker rooms. The role also requires performing cleaning and sanitizing duties, assisting with the annual draining, cleaning, and refilling of the swimming pool, and supporting other related projects and activities. Staff will also be responsible for supporting pool activities and physical education classes by setting up and tearing down rental areas, distributing equipment, and opening and closing the facility. Additionally, the position involves providing information to internal and external patrons regarding College classes and activities, recreational swim, and rental programs. The swimming pool locations are on the Rockville Campus and Germantown Campus.
