About The Position
The Qualified Medication Aide is responsible for assisting the Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurses with the administration of prescribed oral medications.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and licensed as a QMA in the State of Indiana.
- Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Intake of prescription medication/enter dispensing instructions and count correctly in EMR.
- Dispense medications to campers at designated times per prescriber’s order using the 5 rights of medication administration.
- Chart medication administration accurately in EMR.
- Assist co-workers with dispensing center duties as assigned.
- Follows state guidelines on Universal Waste and Safety Precautions (OSHA)
- Communicate with parent/guardians regarding refills
