About The Position

Primary Purpose Of Position Key Responsibilities: Program & Activity Support Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of summer camp activities. Assist with facilitating orientation for summer camp counselors and other summer staff Provide general classroom, workshop, and program support to instructors and camp facilitators. Camper Supervision & Safety Monitor campers to ensure a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment. Support the implementation of Protection of Minors standards and university safety protocols. Assist with camper transitions between activities, breakrooms, dining halls, and designated pick-up/drop-off areas. Report any incidents, concerns, or behavioral issues to the Program Director immediately. Administrative & Operational Tasks Support daily attendance tracking, check-in/check-out procedures, and general recordkeeping. Provide customer service to parents/guardians, visitors, and campus partners as needed. Assist with the Protection of Minors Training process and help ensure program compliance with university policies.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work the full duration of the camp schedule.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and positive environment for minors.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR /First Aid certification (or willingness to complete training).
  • Experience working with youth (camps, tutoring, mentoring, after-school programs).
