The New York Times is seeking a versatile editor for the Styles desk to ensure the department’s stories adhere to Times style and standards while keeping in mind our goals of delighting and entertaining readers.You will be line editing, copy editing and fact checking multiple stories per week, including news and features. You will also have opportunities to work directly with reporters and assigning editors on story shaping for a variety of digital formats. This is expected to be a temporary, in-office position, based in New York City and includes regular attendance in the office four days each week. There may be some flexibility to work remotely per your departmental guidance.
