Overview The Quality Engineer II is responsible for risk analysis, control plans, inspection, supplier quality, and metrology methodology activities. They also ensure customer requirements are defined and all project deliverables meet customer, internal and regulatory requirements including all applicable standards. This is a temporary hourly position for a 3 month assignment.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline. OR (6) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree. OR No experience required in lieu of Masters Degree.
  • Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.

Responsibilities

  • Learn manufacturing processes as assigned to create improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost
  • Lead nonconforming product resolution to include creating containment action plans and root cause corrective action activities including COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) metrics
  • Participate in customer reviews of quality concerns, discussions, and presentations; and internal meetings related to quality issues
  • Lead smaller-scope internal audits to ensure compliance with processes and procedures
  • Develop understanding of customer quality notes to enable review of quotes and purchase orders for requirements
  • Compile, audit and approve audit product compliance documentation, including EIDP (End Item Data Package), FAI (First Article Inspection), source inspection materials, etc.
  • Lead corrective actions, including changes to procedures to ensure completeness and currency
