About The Position

The Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU-Anschutz) are hiring a part-time temporary Psychometrist to conduct studies examining executive function, cognition, language, and adaptive functioning for individuals with Down syndrome. The Psychometrist’s position will be supervised by a licensed psychologist and will include the following responsibilities:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • One (1) year experience administering cognitive or neuropsychological assessments in a research or clinical setting.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Team coordination and management.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and a statistical software package.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in science or health related field.
  • One (1) to four (4) years of clinical research or related experience.
  • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems).
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Prior experience and training with IRB-regulated human subjects research studies.
  • Experience in observational research, surveys, and questionnaires.
  • Research experience with data collection and analysis.
  • Prior experience in the day-to-day organization of research projects, including recruitment of and contact with study participants, coordination of data collection activities, and data management.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with data collection through administration and scoring of cognitive measures and questionnaires.
  • Extracting medical information from electronic medical records.
  • Documenting procedures for testing, decision rules for scoring, and maintaining clinical manuals for procedures for all cognitive testing.
  • Coding for qualitative aspects of cognitive testing.
