About The Position

The Weill Cornell Memory Disorders Program, and outpatient program in the Department of Neurology, Division of Neurodegenerative Disorders of Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking a detail-oriented psychometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychometric assessment and a commitment to providing high-quality test administration to individuals experiencing memory and cognitive changes. Under the supervision of a licensed clinical neuropsychologist, the psychometrist will administer and score a range of standardized neuropsychological measures, assist with data collection for clinical trials, and contribute to the integrity of cognitive assessments used in both clinical and research contexts.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in psychology, education, or a related field is required
  • The ideal candidate will have at least one year relevant experience in psychometric assessment, preferably in a neurology setting.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including use of web-based platforms and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with sensitivity to the needs of individuals with cognitive impairment and their families.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining data integrity, test security, and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with commonly used cognitive assessments; experience with ADAS-Cog and prior experience as a rater in clinical trials is strongly preferred.
  • Certification from the Board of Certified Psychometrists (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Administer formal cognitive assessments for evaluation of memory and other cognitive disorders, adhering to high quality standardized administration and scoring procedures.
  • Score assessments accurately using available normative data; track and organize data for clinical and research use.
  • Maintain secure, well-organized records and ensure strict confidentiality of all patient and study data.
  • Participate as a rater in clinical trials focused on memory and neurodegenerative conditions; follow study specific protocols and documentation procedures.
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with patients and multidisciplinary staff to support high-quality care and accurate assessment outcomes.
