About The Position

MDW is seeking to hire a Temporary Project Manager in support of our US Postal Inspections Service customer in Washington, DC. The individual will assist the client by tracking and monitoring project status, identifying key risks, and providing advice directly to USPIS leadership. The Project Manager may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties: Assist with stakeholder engagement, including meeting agendas, facilitation, action item monitoring and follow up, and risk/issue tracking Document and communicate the business impact that projects and programs achieve Support reporting, preparation, and follow-up for meetings Work with project and program managers to validate and clarify project information as needed Develop and/or enhance project and program management tools and processes Provide general project management advice and support for project managers and program leaders Support project and program stakeholder engagement, communications, and change management Track and monitor project and portfolio-level risks, issues, deliverables, critical milestones, deadlines, and success measures (including data entry and analysis)

Requirements

  • Strategic Planning, project management, and general governance support experience
  • Enterprise Risk Management experience
  • Process review for the purposes of identifying efficiencies
  • Ability to identify project action items and provide status reports
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Data entry and analysis skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and/or familiarity with ServiceNow is highly desirable
  • Experience working with a law enforcement organization or military
  • PMP Certification
