Temporary Nursing and Food Services Scheduling Coordinator

About The Position

The Nursing and Food Services Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the staffing for all nursing units and food services to ensure adequate staffing at all times as well as coordinating with designated staffing agencies to support this endeavor

Requirements

Must be able to work every other weekend
Must possess, at a minimum, High School diploma.
Strong verbal, written, and computer skills required.
Ability to work independently and solve problems required.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule all nurse staffing for all nursing units and food services.
Coordinate agency staffing for all nursing units for the next 48 hours and notify agency to verify needs have been met.
Verify daily with nursing units all staff, including orientees, on each unit.
Update office nursing staffing book with changes in staffing.
Contact per diem staff to determine if they can help meet staffing needs.
Maintain daily staffing sheets.
Work with Staff Ed to schedule staff for CPR, NCI, etc. and ensure that schedule is back filled.
Review Agency billings for accuracy.
Notify agency of projected needs for next 2 weeks.
Maintain agency sign in book and archive the sign in sheets by the month.
Collect data regarding agency staffing.
Collect from and enter data related to time and attendance system.
Prepare reports to DON Agency Daily Costs, Orientation Costs, Sick Time Usage, Unit needs, Agency Cancellation Percentage, Agency Hours for HR when requested.
