About The Position
TEMPORARY HOSPICE RN – 8-WEEK ASSIGNMENT Locations: Forsyth, Davidson & Stokes Counties Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week Duration: 8 weeks | Start ASAP Mountain Valley Hospice is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a defined, short-term hospice assignment. This role is ideal for an RN who wants meaningful work with a predictable weekday schedule—without weekends, on-call, or a long-term commitment.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Hospice or home health experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Organized, dependable, and patient-centered
Responsibilities
- Manage a hospice caseload and provide direct patient care
- Complete comprehensive assessments and ongoing care planning
- Provide symptom management, medication administration, and wound care
- Educate patients and families on disease progression and care needs
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and the hospice team
- Complete timely, accurate electronic documentation
