EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Education Currently enrolled in high school. AGE REQUIREMENTS\: Minimum 14 years of age. Individuals ages 14-15 are subject to additional restrictions in accordance with UT Southwestern policy and applicable state and federal labor laws. Individuals ages 16 and older are not subject to additional age-based work restrictions. Experience No prior experience. If assigned to work in a research laboratory, additional documentation signed by a parent or legal guardian. JOB DUTIES The summer intern will assist in the laboratory with processing of biobanking samples, organization and barcoding of samples. No prior laboratory experience is needed. Will need good interpersonal skills and willingness to learn. Performs a variety of duties to include, but not limited to, basic administrative and service related functions. Assists, receives training, and acquires working knowledge from various departments. May assist staff with day to day operations. May participate in basic to moderately complex projects as requested by supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.
