About The Position

We are looking for a Temporary Finance Manager (Maternity Leave Coverage) to join the KHAITE team. This role will report to the Controller and will be based out of the NYC HQ offices. This temporary role will support our finance operations and help to ensure the continued integrity of our financial reporting. It is a hands-on opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and can step in seamlessly to support day-to-day execution while maintaining strong operational discipline.

Requirements

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a collaborative mindset
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines and job assignments
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
5-7 years of accounting experience
Proficiency with Excel and accounting software tools
Strong understanding of financial reporting best practices

Nice To Haves

Experience in fashion, luxury, or retail is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes—driving timely, accurate financial statements.
Partner with cross-functional teams (production, sales, ops) to ensure financial transactions are recorded properly.
Assist in managing audits, ensuring compliance.
Implement and improve accounting policies, procedures, and systems to support growth.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes with actuals and variance analysis.
