About The Position

The Temporary Fabrication Associate - Level I plays a crucial role in supporting our process by performing fundamental fabrication tasks that contribute to the production of high-quality components and products. This position involves working closely with the fellow fabrication team to interpret blueprints, measure materials accurately, and operate basic fabrication tools and machinery under supervision. The associate ensures that all fabricated parts meet specified standards and tolerances, maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in manufacturing fabrication processes, enabling the associate to develop foundational skills and knowledge in the industry. Ultimately, the Temporary Fabrication Associate helps maintain production flow and supports the achievement of manufacturing goals within the assigned timeframe.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints or technical drawings.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating hand tools.
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines and work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Familiarity with fabrication machinery and hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and work orders to understand fabrication requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and shape raw materials such as metal or plastic using hand tools and machinery.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, and drills safely and efficiently.
  • Perform quality checks on fabricated parts to ensure compliance with specifications and report any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Assist senior fabrication staff with complex tasks and participate in team meetings to discuss production progress.
  • Document work performed and materials used accurately for tracking and reporting purposes.
