About The Position

The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. These duties are to be carried out in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and order within buildings, including offices and public areas, and ensuring proper waste management and supply restocking.

Requirements

No previous experience required for basic cleaning responsibilities.
Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
Ability to use a portable vacuum cleaner – back pack style.
Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces.
Operate light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines, including attachments.
Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas, including daily spot cleaning and periodic shampooing.
Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
Wash windowsills; glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
Wash glass and trim at entrance doors (interior/exterior) and spot clean interior walls daily.
Clean bathrooms daily, which includes damp wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and sweeping/mopping/scrubbing floors.
Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals and lights out to supervisors.
Collect building trash daily, placing it in approved containers for removal, and replacing liners.
Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways at building entrances, and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed.
Perform periodic work such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing.
Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
