Ferragamo is seeking a Temporary Buyer who will provide key support to the Merchandising team by overseeing Men’s Shoes and Leathergoods during the Senior Director’s maternity leave. The role encompasses analyzing sales and inventory performance, managing open-to-buy, and executing initiatives in alignment with brand strategy and financial objectives. This position requires a highly adaptable and results-driven professional capable of quickly integrating into a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Buyer or Associate Buyer; experience in luxury retail and merchandise planning is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of the end-to-end buying process, including open-to-buy, assortment planning, and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with relevant buying systems is an advantage (e.g., SAP, EBI, RIO, NOE).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and sound decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across departments.
  • Ability to start immediately and commit to a fixed-term assignment (January – July 2026)

Responsibilities

  • Execute buying strategies in line with brand positioning, seasonal direction, and financial/open-to-buy (OTB) targets.
  • Analyze weekly stock-to-sales performance and sell-through to optimize inventory and respond to market trends.
  • Prepare ad hoc business recaps for senior management and HQ, and support seasonal buy preparation prior to market
  • Assist with stock program activities, including seasonal budgeting and monthly sales forecast/TSL management, to ensure effective replenishment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Retail/E-commerce, Marketing/Communications, Wholesale and HQ teams.
  • Develop product knowledge training materials and deliver seasonal presentations for store teams.
  • Quickly adapt to existing processes, systems, and team workflows to maintain operational efficiency.
