The Temporary Academic Tutor supports the schools mission by providing targeted, student-centered academic assistance that promotes meaningful learning and growth. The Tutor delivers one-on-one or small-group instruction in assigned subjects, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning needs. They assist with classwork, homework, and test preparation; monitor and document student progress; and offer timely, constructive feedback. Working closely with Summit teachers, the Tutor helps implement lesson plans, addresses individual learning challenges, and supports students during Student Support Block and Office Hours. They also promote strong study habits, time-management skills, and academic confidence. The ideal candidate is a flexible, student-focused educator who communicates concepts clearly, collaborates effectively with teachers, and upholds academic integrity. Experience with diverse learners and personalized learning environments is strongly preferred.
