About The Position
Cardinal Education is seeking passionate and driven Part-Time Subject Tutors to join our growing academic team. In this role, you will provide individualized academic support across a broad range of subjects, including mathematics, science, humanities, and other quantitative and writing-based coursework, helping students strengthen foundational skills while progressing toward more advanced material. You will work closely with students in one-on-one settings to support coursework, standardized test preparation, and academic enrichment. Beyond subject instruction, you will guide students in developing effective problem-solving strategies, critical thinking skills, and confident study habits, empowering them to succeed in rigorous academic environments. Requirements
- Strong proficiency in high school–level mathematics, with the ability to teach precalculus highly preferred
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends to support student schedules
- Ability to commit to part-time tutoring for a minimum of one year
- Availability of at least 5 hours per week
- Bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited university.
- A high level of energy and sociability
- Exceptional writing ability
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of people, including executives, students, and other coaches
- Ability to work independently yet dutifully within the company pedagogy and processes
- Apply relentless dedication to delivering results
- Drive to help cultivate student thinking so that students become well-rounded and no longer need coaching
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in STEM tutoring and/or test preparation (SAT, ACT, AP, etc.) is a plus
- Experience explaining complex concepts in a clear, student-friendly way
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one academic mentorship in various academic subjects and/or standardized exams, guiding students to discover their strengths, reduce stress, and overcome academic challenges.
- Complete comprehensive training programs to effectively identify and address students' individual strengths and weaknesses.
