About The Position

Responsible for processing study abroad credit and for recommending and implementing improvements to credit processes and technology systems. Assist students while abroad and upon return with course equivalency, credit, and grade questions, and work closely with staff in Education Abroad, other study abroad offices on campus, the Office of the Registrar, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and Office of Graduate Admissions on credit-related matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, one year of Administrative Assistant experience, or high school graduation or GED, plus five years of clerical experience.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in examining, organizing, and reporting information in an accurate manner.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and writing skills.
  • Experience providing support in a customer service environment with excellent customer service skills.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Credit Processing Responsible for preparation/review of documents and forms for study abroad credit processing, following the policies and procedures outlined by Education Abroad, Office of the Registrar, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and Office of Graduate Admissions. Audits credit forms for accuracy. Work with students, academic departments, and international partners to resolve complex credit cases under the direction of the Academic Records Coordinator.
  • My Credit Abroad Database: Manage course equivalencies via the My Credit Abroad database. Ensure accuracy and integrity of course equivalencies.
  • Faculty & Staff Support for Credit - Guide course evaluators on the procedures for evaluating academic credit earned internationally. Serve as a resource to faculty and staff on topics related to course equivalencies and grade conversions. Respond to requests for information from students, faculty, and staff, including academic advisors. Provide reports and summary data as needed/requested.
