About The Position

Performs specialized clerical and manual work in the operation of a departmental warehouse, storeroom, or storage area. Work involves responsibility for the requisitioning, purchasing, receipt, storage, inventory, and issuance of materials, supplies, tools, and related inventory items. Work also may involve the limited operation of certain automotive-type equipment utilized to unload, relocate and load inventory. Work is performed under general supervision. Work is reviewed by superiors through checks of inventory records, filing of orders, inspection, and conversations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate
  • one (1) year or more of experience preferred in warehousing, inventory control, materials handling, purchasing, or related area; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified EMT or Paramedic desired.
  • Experience in the pre-hospital or hospital setting desired.
  • Experience working with purchasing and inventory control software and processing invoices highly desired.
