Mennello Museum: Temp/Seasonal Staff Assistant, Visitor Services & Education
About The Position
Position Location: Mennello Museum of American Art Salary: $18.00 per Hour Regular Hours: Part-time schedule of 20-25 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with additional evening/weekend hours required for programs and special event coverage, visitor services at the front desk, including monthly Free Family Funday support required on each 2nd Sunday of the month. Primary Functions: This position will support all facets of the visitor services operation and provide educational assistance throughout the museum, delivering a gracious and enriching experience for all visitors, including children, students, lifelong learners, and those attending special events and rentals. The position also supports education programs, schedules and conducts tours, prepares educational and promotional materials, engages with artists, and assists with special events, including setup and breakdown.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in art, art history, art education and at least one year of experience in visitor, service or education (preferably in a museum setting).

- Be able to handle a fast-paced environment while providing quality visitor education experience.
- Possess computer skills
- Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to the ticketing and customer relationship software.
- Parts of the position require some physical labor (moving brochure boxes, chairs, tables, etc.), and conducting visitor operations outdoors.
