About The Position

Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt The primary responsibilities of this position are to (1) Oversee daily operations of Stem Cell and Xenograft Core’s production breeding colony (2) coordinate with users and Core personnel to plan, execute and report to the Core Director and users on all in vivo experiments; (3) address issues related to animal husbandry, user training and compliance with procedures and regulations, maintenance and quality control of a database to track animals, experiments, users and in vivo services delivered by the Core; (4) Report to Core Directorship on the following: animal availability, services requested and delivered, animal-related issues, user experiments planning and resource allocation recommendations, user training and compliance, and in vivo model development. (5) Assist in the supervision of a junior in-vivo technician to help; (6) Perform in-vivo imaging services (optical and ultrasound) in collaboration with the Department of Radiology. This position requires exceptional communication, animal manipulation and multitasking skills to perform effectively with a variety of Core users ranging from faculty, research technicians, trainees and external collaborators in the academic or private sectors.
