This position is assigned to the Department of Correction Human Resources Office and will assist with various leave processes such as parental leave, FMLA, etc., and provide support to the HR Manager, scanning, updating files, and other duties as assigned. This class describes the delivery of paraprofessional human resource services in one or more of the following human resource functions: talent acquisition, classification, compensation, employee relations, pension, employee or statewide benefits, diversity and inclusion and/or labor relations. Paraprofessional human resource work is characterized by the application of human resource laws, rules and regulations, providing technical assistance to employees, applicants and others in standard human resource transactions, human resource services, and maintaining personnel files. Examples of paraprofessional or technical responsibilities typically assigned include, but are not limited to those described in the Essential Functions below.
