About The Position

The Role: Receives telephone/e-mail requests for loading appointments, questions regarding orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from sales, distribution, customers, brokers, and transportation companies. Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service. Location(s): Salinas, CA Assignment Dates: July 1, 2026 - October 30, 2026 Areas of Responsibility : Uses a J.D. Edwards and PKMS based program to retrieve customer information, inventory status information, the status of sales orders, and to make changes on customer sales orders. Ensures that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information. Follows up on appointments by checking the system for delivery information. Works closely with harvest and production supervisors regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments. Handles the needs of sales representatives and customers, both internal and external. Runs reports and maintains files of an individual customer base and post activity such as average load time, missed appointments, delayed orders, and fill rates. Logs and reports on issues involving other departments. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum three years of related experience. High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Strong written and verbal communications skills. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and J.D. Edwards. Work hours are 6:00 am – 3:00 pm Monday through Friday Rotating Saturday shift 6:00 am – 11:00 am.
