About The Position

Are you passionate about Culture? Are you always coming up with new ideas? Do you love taking an insight from Culture and translating it into a piece of Content? Do you enjoy connecting with people through conversation? Our award-winning Social.Monks team is seeking a talented and creative Temp Copywriter (Social Content) to join our team to be the voice & content generator across our clients' social media channels. In this remote role, you will be responsible for developing and executing content strategies for Social Media Always On accounts, as well as engaging with our clients' communities to drive engagement, build brand loyalty, and increase brand awareness. The temporary role will last until January 15th, 2026. Our ideal candidate can spot a trend in culture/social media and translate that into a relevant insight that's on brand for our clients. They'll be able to go from uncovering insights to developing concepts to generating creative (including capturing & editing lo-fi static & video content on mobile, when needed) to posting content to responding to posts in an authentic way that's within our brand guidelines. Requirements

  • On top of culture and trends; you know what's going to be cool before it is, including emerging social channels, tools, networks, etc..
  • Deep understanding of social media best practices, in terms of formats and tone of voice, as well as key social media channel ecosystems (instagram, TikTok): trends, hashtags, music usage, functionalities, guidelines, and platform updates.
  • Ability to travel to office & onsite client locations as needed.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Community Management (when applicable)
  • 2-3 years of experience in developing Content for Brands.
  • Significant experience as an Instagram & TikTok user.
  • History of creating content that performed well and drove attention whether for yourself or a Brand.
  • Knows ins-and-outs of social listening, including knowledge of metrics, social listening tools and digital reports.
  • Experience in developing or implementing community manager strategies.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong writing skills for ad hoc copy requests and copy suggestions.
  • Strong attention to detail (extremely important for this role).
  • Strong organizational/QA skills for publishing on high profile channels.
  • Familiar with scheduling tools, social listening tools.
  • Knowledge in managing Content Management Systems.
  • Comfortable interacting with internal departments and clients.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of Agency Experience is a Plus.
  • Experience with AI tools a plus.

Responsibilities

  • A culture, music lover (preferably Hip Hop and R&B) who is able to translate what's happening on social media and make it relevant and applicable for the brand(s) you manage.
  • Be the "voice" of a brand in social media, from creating posts to engaging with fans' comments.
  • Create ideas, research content, copy development for social media posts and content calendars, on behalf of brands.
  • A proactive leader who is always looking at what else we can share with the client to make them stand out rather than just be a part of the conversation.
  • Dive into a community & authentically speak with people and create content based on what you learn and see.
  • Work on content calendars and make them come true, focusing on the ideation and production of content.
  • Work collaboratively with social strategy and account management to ensure social media channels are on brand at all times.
  • Stay up-to-date with cultural and social trends, share them with the team and ideate ways to participate in them when relevant.
  • Act fast and be flexible to jump on new opportunities to create impactful work.
  • The ideal candidate must have a fast turnaround on projects and be able to excel under tight deadlines.
  • Content Creator
  • Develop and execute content strategies for Social Media Always On accounts, including but not limited to Instagram (added bonus, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn)
  • With support from the team, bring ideas to life by creating, filming, and editing ready-to-post reels.
  • Ability to aesthetically capture (bonus, edit original content on a mobile device)
  • Collaborate with the strategy & production team to develop compelling graphics, videos, and other visual content that enhances the client's social media presence.
  • Creatively adapt to data and insights shared with you by the social media team.
  • Collaborate and share ideas, inspiration, and best practices with the social media team and Creative team.
  • Establish evolving best practices.
  • Be able to deliver on different aesthetic tones for a variety of client brand guidelines.
  • Have an understanding of TikTok and Instagram reels and how to create content specifically for these platforms.
