Position Summary In your role as a Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)Technician, you'll be responsible to operate dual beam focused ion beam to prepare high quality samples suitable for advanced TEM analysis, including level appropriate tool maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting. Additional functions of this technician position include collaborating with imaging team to improve sample quality, learning new techniques to expand capability, improve output and efficiency for better team throughput and TAT. Role and Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Requirements

  • Two years or less of college or technical school (preferred, but not required).
  • Less than three years of experience in Semiconductor field (preferred, but not required).
  • SEM and FIB operation for the preparation of high quality TEM samples free of damages or artifacts.
  • Must have the ability to manipulate small features, tools or samples consistently.
  • Must demonstrate motivation and capability to quickly comprehend sophisticated equipment and processes.
  • Operator level tool maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
  • Chemical and dry etch sample delayering.
  • Physical failure analysis sample manipulation.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and have keen ability to navigate various Samsung software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Follow SOP and job instructions carefully with a keen attention to details
  • Operate Dual Beam FIB tools to prepare high quality samples free of damage or artifacts for TEM analysis
  • Perform level appropriate tool maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting
  • Strive for output and efficiency improvement to help the team achieve TAT and capa goals
  • Determine and assist in development of methods and procedures to optimize techniques and capabilities related to in-lab operations.
