About The Position

Provide superior and quality customer service by ensuring all transactions are processed accurately. Keep accurate records of currency and negotiable instruments while following bank policies and procedures.

Provide customer referrals for new products and services on a daily basis.

Requirements

• 6 months of cash handling experience and a good balancing record
• Able to work 40 flexible hours per week including Saturdays
• Excellent customer service skills while handling variety of duties
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Ability to present professional demeanor and experience

Responsibilities

• Accept and process deposits and withdrawals on commercial, personal, and savings accounts.
• Cash various types of checks according to established policies
• Count, sort and package currency and coin.
• Prepare and fill change orders for commercial customers
• Prepare and sell cashier’s checks, money orders, and travelers checks
• Activate ATM pin numbers for customers when needed
• Prepare end of day information for tax payment remittance, MasterCard/Visa transactions, official check report, traveler’s checks, and all other applicable transactions
• Balance cash daily following standard procedures
• Handle and adjust minor problems or complaints from customers; answers requests for routine information and directs inquiries to proper department.
• Make referrals of bank’s services to new and existing customers.
• Buy and sell money to stay within assigned cash limit
• Help process work from night depository
• Perform other duties as assigned
